About Me.
Having been a Maths teacher for some 37 years i had always had a yearning for trying my hand at photography. Unfortunately the long hours and busy family and sporting lifestyle didn't always lend itself to providing the time needed to take photography seriously. Not until i retired a little early from teaching at the age of 59 in 2014 did i invest in my first DSLR camera.
I then felt i had a lot to learn in order to move from taking 'snaps' to capturing 'photographs', and several friends advised i join a camera club. On visiting Watford Camera Club in January 2015 i was immediately struck by the friendliness of other members and a willingness to pass on ideas and knowledge to mere novices like myself. I cannot thank or recommend the club enough.
Eleven plus years later i feel i have certainly improved but of course you can never stop learning and improving - the journey continues.

I hope you find my website and the galleries of some of my images useful, interesting, informative and 'entertaining'.
